Expanded Hours, New Faces at WHMT
It’s been invigorating watching everything come to life in the warm weather. Buds have blossomed and the sidewalks have a renewed energy with the increased foot traffic from those eager to bask in the sunshine and the warm, fresh air.
In our last newsletter, we introduced you to John York, West Hartford Massage Therapy’s (WHMT) new Reiki practitioner. This month we’re please to introduce you to Mitzi Young and Marisol Ortiz. Having these very talented individuals on staff will give you more flexibility when it comes to scheduling your appointments; and in this crazy, busy world we live in, we know how important that is!
So no more excuses! Take advantage of our new hours and schedule that long-overdue massage today. I know you’ll love working with them both, and will give them a warm welcome to the WHMT staff!

Marisol Ortiz Marisol may be a familiar face to some of you as she has often covered my practice when I am away or not available. She graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in 2004 and specializes in Swedish Massage, deep tissue massage, acupressure and several energy work techniques.
Marisol has certifications in Traditional Thai Massage, Mother Massage (massage during pregnancy), and Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage, and she has been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association since 2004.
Marisol is adding permanent hours on Sundays from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
Mitzi is a 2013 graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She is licensed in Connecticut and is a member of The American Massage Therapy Association. Mitzi specializes in creating a blissful and deeply relaxing massage experience, which is unique to each client’s needs and desires. Tapping into her yoga practice for inspiration, Mitzi uses her breath and training to ground and center each client throughout the massage session, gently melting away stress and anxiety as muscles are loosened and pain is decreased.
Mitzi is adding permanent hours on Tuesdays from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.
